Look, we know that Sherman Oaks, California isn’t exactly a winter paradise, even in January and February, when the rest of the country is covered in several inches of snow. But that doesn’t mean our drivers don’t ever see snow; we hear all the time about Center Acura patrons that head up north during ski season to hit the slopes in Northern California. That means driving through some snowy weather, and in that case the fact that the MDX is one of the country’s Top 10 Winter Vehicles could potentially come in handy.
This isn’t just some schmuck Top 10 list, either; Kelley Blue Book put this thing together, and that means it’s absolutely legit. The MDX is pretty legit, too, no matter what the weather, but since we’re celebrating its prowess as a winter vehicle, let’s take a quick look at the reasons KBB put in its list.
The MDX, which finished 8th overall, is a vehicle that can do dirty work on icy roads while still maintaining a luxury that not all the other vehicles on the list can afford. It’s got our patented Super Handling All-Wheel Drive system, which obviously helps a ton in snowy weather, and its 300 hp V6 engine is plenty powerful enough for even the most awful of situations.
Los Angeles Acura MDX dealers might not sell the whole “winter” thing too often with their vehicles, but hey, it’s an accolade. We’re not one to turn up our noses at awards, especially not ones given out by a publication as respected as Kelley Blue Book.
